Short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking unless you say yes to anonymized analytics.

What we collect

Cloudflare serves this site and keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to run and protect it. We do not run advertising pixels or load third-party fonts. Fonts and media are served from our own domain.

Email

If you write to contact@pieceoff.app, we receive your message and address and use them only to reply. There is no newsletter list.

The PieceOff app and servers

The open-source app and room server are separate from this website. A room server you run stores room snapshots and uploaded media on your own disk. Rooms use invite codes, not accounts. If a hosted service launches, it will have its own terms and privacy notice before it takes anyone's data.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It is off by default. Nothing is requested from Google, and no analytics cookies are set, until you click Count me in on the banner. If you click Hell no, nothing loads.

When it is on, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and receives your page views and interactions such as scrolls and outbound clicks, with your IP address anonymized. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and the property keeps event data for 14 months. Google acts as a processor under its own terms. We do not link this data to anyone's identity, and we do not sell it.

Your choice is remembered in your browser under the key po_analytics_consent. Use Change analytics choice in the footer to reset it at any time.
